Washing and care
Weighted arms and all, Pookie is still easy to clean.
For smaller messes we recommend spot cleaning with a damp cloth. When he needs a deeper clean, hand wash him gently with a mild soap and let him air dry.
Machine washing and harsh chemicals will affect the softness of Pookie's fur.

What’s the science behind Pookie the Panda Weighted Animal?
It works through Deep Pressure Therapy (DPT), a soothing method known for easing tension and anxiety by bringing cortisol levels down and switching on your body’s own relaxation response. Think of a weighted blanket you can carry around — only far more huggable.
What’s the difference between the Original and Heavyweight version?
Both look the same from the outside — the Heavyweight simply carries extra features and more than twice the load. The Original comes in at 2.2 lbs (1 kg), while the Heavyweight reaches 5.5 lbs (2.5 kg).
On the Original, most of the weight sits in the arms so the hug feels soft and gentle. The Heavyweight keeps those weighted arms and adds more to the body and back legs, giving you a fuller sensory feel — great on your lap, while lounging, or whenever you want deeper pressure.
The Heavyweight also comes with Velcro arm fasteners so the hug holds firm and stays put on your shoulders while you work or unwind. Inside, a concealed belly pocket lets you slip in your own heating or cooling pack — or even a bit more weight if you like.
We keep both versions in the shop. The Original is lighter, easier on the wallet, and usually the better pick for children; the Heavyweight suits anyone after a heavier, more grounding cuddle. The Heavyweight is offered for the Panda only.
Is it washable?
It is. For day-to-day marks, a damp cloth and a bit of spot cleaning does the job. When it needs more, wash it gently by hand and let it air dry.
Can I sleep with it?
